This convertible is offered at a price 40% higher than the sedan, but it remains the cheapest convertible in the American market. The convertible offers a higher level of equipment : power steering, luggage rack on the rear trunk (more aesthetic than effective) and power top are standard, but the four power windows, air conditioning, power lock and cruise control are optional. A new 1.7 L F3N engine, with throttle body fuel injection is standard on Alliance convertible and Encore GS, optional on other models.
